The Village Clerk’s position is an elected, four-year term. The Clerk is the historian of the community for the entire recorded history of the village and its people. The Village Clerk provides a service function to the Village of Lansing as well as support services to other departments within the village structure. The duties of the clerk are essential to the operation of the community. 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintains official records and documents including archives
  • Keeper of the Village Seal
  • Attends and records the proceedings of all Village Board meetings
  • Records and publishes Village Board meeting minutes
  • Maintains official ordinances and resolutions records
  • Coutersigns and seals official documents, licenses and permits, etc.
  • Administering oaths
  • Answering inquiries from other government units and citizens
  • Register Voters

Monday, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays : 9AM - 5PM

Tuesdays : 9AM - 7 PM

Saturday : Closed (The Lansing Municpal Center will be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon during the months of May and June ONLY. The Center will be closed, however, on Saturday, May 26th for the Memorial Day weekend.)
