Vivian and her husband Steve have lived in Lansing for 23 years and have 2 adult children.  They have been members of St. Ann Church for over 20 years.


Vivian’s service and work experience in Lansing have prepared her to proudly serve as your Village Clerk.  She previously served as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor from May 2009 to May 2017, the Deputy Clerk for 4 years and Executive Director of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce.

During her tenure with the Village, she initiated the Lansing annual Clean-Up Day and has volunteered for numerous events and organizations throughout the years.  She is currently President and past Secretary of the Lansing Business Women’s Association, and past Secretary of the Planning & Zoning Board of Appeals.     


The Village Clerk’s position is an elected, four-year term. The Clerk is the historian of the community for the entire recorded history of the village and its people. The Village Clerk provides a service function to the Village of Lansing as well as support services to other departments within the village structure. The duties of the clerk are essential to the operation of the community.


Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintains official records and documents including archives  
• Keeper of the Village Seal     
• Attends and records the proceedings of all Village Board meetings     
• Records and publishes Village Board meeting minutes     
• Maintains official ordinances and resolutions records     
• Countersigns and seals official documents, licenses and permits, etc     
• Administering oaths     
• Answering inquiries from other government units and citizens     
• Register Voters

Monday thru Friday 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.


9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Closed Sunday
