AARP Tax Returns for Senior Citizens
Income tax returns for Senior Citizens, Age 60 and above, will be prepared at the Patti Leach Youth Center beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 1st from Noon until 3:00 p.m. and each Tuesday & Wednesday until April 18th.
Since we do not take reservations, someone will be in the Youth Center parking lot from 10:30 a.m. until the daily quota of 16 is reached. Doors open at 11:45 a.m. A list of alternate sites that do take reservations will be available.
If not on Social Security you must show proof of health insurance. You must also bring last year’s tax return and a social security card for each person on your tax return. Also bring a copy of a check if you would like a refund automatically deposited or balance due withdrawn from your account.
This service is sponsored by the AARP Foundation and is the largest, free, volunteer run tax service for taxpayers with middle or low income. Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS. Please do not call the Youth Center. No one is there to answer questions about taxes. Only certified volunteers will answer questions.
